While products such as mp3 players and optical disks have undoubtedly allowed music to become ubiquitous and hyper-mobile, there's something timeless about vinyl. Hipsters collect it, audiophiles lust for it, and many others simply enjoy the vintage aspect of this most permanent medium. Perhaps it is in fact it's permeance; impervious to the perils and malfunctions of modern electronics. Maybe it's presentation; album art that's large and in your face. Some say it's the sound - true fidelity of sound waves captured by needle.
